ICU/CCU: The trending of Cardiac output in addition to blood pressure is crucial to prevent hypo perfusion and to guide fluid administration and vasodialation therapy of these patients. Currently, only a few patients receive such monitoring due to the invasive nature of methods presently available. This results in treatments as per statistical based protocols which are compromised for the individual patient.

Anesthesiology/ Operating Rooms: The trending of patient’s stroke volume, peripheral resistance and fluids during surgeries provide the anestesia care team a useful tool to better manage a patient’s hemodynamics.

Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT): NICaS is a superior device for this application in comparison to other bio-impedance devices due to its’ high accuracy as well as reproducibility and its’ wrist to ankle sensors configuration that keeps the thorax area free of sensors. In CRT, non-responders in many cases are due to the results of a compromised location of the electrodes in the right atrium and both ventricles. NICaS can provide left ventricular contraction feedback during the implantation, resulting in the ability to locate the electrodes at more responsive locations and can reduce the overall rate of non-responders.
